What a great make-do! This make-do settle we made out of 18th C chestnut boards from Connecticut, and covered it early linsey woolsey with a great color, the warp threads are blue and the weft are red, so it slightly changes color depending on which direction you are looking from. Price is $2,250.
Here is a classic big blue cupboard. I bought this one at least 30 years ago in southern Indiana right on the Ohio river, back when you could go driving around to little shops and actually find nice things. Anyhow, we're putting it up for sale. Nice smoky blue paint, great cornice, lots and lots of storage inside. Price is $2,250.
Here is a pic a set of drawers found in Connecticut. Dovetailed case and drawers, nice old grungy surface. We added small hangers so it can be hung on the wall. Would look nice hung on the wall in the hall for the phone, with a pretty chair under it, or maybe on the kitchen counter for all your coupons? SOLD.

Here is a pic of two wonderful early blanket chests. The bottom one is a very early Connecticut chest with single arch molding, wood hinges and pintles, nice remains of a surface, replaced top and hardware. Nice clean piece, price is $1,250. The top one is another little early chest from Connecticut, wood hinges and pintles, rosehead nails, slight remains of an early shellac finish, perfect condition, only 1 nail moved in over 200 years. These small ones are hard to find, not to mention in such great condition! Price is $925.

What a great little Connecticut stand. 18th C, wonderful colors, a nice deep red with bits of blue coming through here and there, and great worn patina. The legs are classic Connecticut turnings, old lathe marks, each one very slightly different, clearly made by hand, nice stretcher base. Perfect size for an end table, or next to your bed. Price is $1,425.
Here is a fun pic of a great make-do chair. We took this in Texas at our favorite campground, where they have lots of chickens and small goats. Anyhow, the chair is a fabulous make-do, the frame is a very early slat back armchair found in Maine, with the mushroom arms. The chair is full height, never ended, but we believe the slats were replaced at some point. Which is why we upholstered the back and seat with a nice mustard linsey fabric, as well as a little mustard cotton, and even including the makers initials embroidered on. Price is $1,850.

Here is wonderful make-do chair. The sides and front are very old wood with wonderful patina, and the  upholstery is the very shabby remains of several old quilts. The whitish fabric is linsey, and the brownish ones are old brown calico and linsey. The frame is an original 18th C. ladderback armchair, maple, Connecticut origin.  Price is $1,650.

Here is another great make-do armchair. The frame is an 18th C slatback armchair, maple with Connecticut origin. It has the reamins of some brown milk paint on the frame.
