Here's a good looking group of early bobbins. They would have originally hung on a wire spool rack. They are oak, and measure 9 1/2" long , and are probably form the early 19th C. The linen thread is for sale on the Textile Page.

Here's a Valentine special for you. This pantry box with the fabulous nailing pattern is signed Alex. Valentine on the inside and on the top. I think its just great. it is pine and hickory, is nailed with square nails, and measures 7" x 5" x 3 1/2". Wouldn't it be great filled with chocolates for a special day?jj

You saw this primitive little snuff box up above with the carrier. It is made of birch bark, possibly Native American made, and found here in CT. It measures 2 1/2" tall and 2 5/8" in diameter. A great addition to a treen collection.

Here is great lookin heavy old pine dough board. It has raised edges on three sides, and a dropped edge on the front to keep it from sliding off the table. It measures a generous 25" x 27" x 2".
