Perhaps you didn't know that Connecticut is known for the fine shade grown tobacco we grow here. I've gotten some from a local grower and tied them into hands. Each hand has about 10-14 leaves, is hand wrapped by me, and measures about 24" long. I guess the tobacco they grow up here is longer than some other areas. Its a fairly dark brown.
This tobacco is so pretty hanging up in the beams, or by itself. Above I used a real old tobacco lathe to hang mine above the fireplace.

Pictures of my shop and keeping room in the harvesting season. Tying hands of tobacco takes a lot of room and a lot of time.
If you wondered how we hung up our tobacco, we used antique tobacco racks. These are quite old, are pine with old dark tobacco barn patina, measure 44" long, by about 1" x 2". They have six cast iron hooks, three on each side, nicely spaced for the hands of tobacco.

These nice "bowknots" are a good way to use your tobacco in a bowl. No room to hang a hand of tobacco. How about a few of these in a dish with an old clay pipe or maybe your pipe tongs? Each bowknot is made from a single large leaf of tobacco twisted into a knot.

I guess its sheep shearing time in Connecticut. I just got a few hanks of fleece freshly sheared off a sheep. I love them as a hanger on a door, or the back of a settle, or used with your spinning wheel and other related tools. Too pretty! Each one is about 30" long, and has a linen string holding them together, long enough to use to hang with. I have 3 available, 2 brownish black and 1 grey. Please note these are very fresh, not washed wool, so they are fragrant! My dogs loved smelling them when they came in the house.

Here is something new for you, a little "hanger" to decorate your cupboards, etc. It is a clementine dried whole, on a string with a scrap of grungy material. Just the thing to add a little touch of "nice" to a knob here and there. I have some with and without cloves. They are about 5 1/2" long.

Again, something a little new for your home. I've taken a few tobacco leaves and woven them into a wreath. I especially like them in a window pane, and they are good on door knobs too. They are a little larger, the wreath part is 5" in diameter, and with the string its 10" long. Be a little careful where you put them, as you may know the tobacco is dry and brittle in the winter months.
